New Buster X for the 2021 season

A new version of the popular Buster X model is being introduced for the 2021 boating season. New features include a fully aluminium floor and stainless steel railings, as found on the larger Buster XL model.

The new Buster X is a 5.35-metre open boat designed for seven persons. Thanks to its aluminium construction, the boat is light but durable and easy to maintain. The boat weighs just 480 kilos and together with the Yamaha F70 AETL outboard 600 kilos, making it easy to handle both by the pier and on shore.

Buster introduced the Buster X model in 2006 to fill the space between the classic Buster L and the significantly larger Buster XL. The Buster X was last updated in 2013, when the hull was lengthened by 20 centimetres.

Buster Q smart display and Navionics charts as standard

The impressive list of standard equipment on the new Buster X include the Buster Q smart display and Navionics electronic navigation charts. The 10” screen displays the boat’s speed and engine rpm, as well as the precise location. It is also possible to plan routes and transfer the data to a smartphone using the free-of-charge Buster Q app.

New standard equipment on the Buster X includes trolling speed adjustment, which enables slow progress and precise speed adjustments at low rpm. Additional functions can be easily added to the Buster Q smart display, including a sonar module, a Raymarine fishfinder, the Entertainment package with speakers and a remote control unit that can be attached for example to the steering wheel.

Safe and easy to maintain

Buster X ja Yamaha F70 — The handling properties of the new Buster X are consistent and calm, making it pleasant to operate in all conditions.

The new Buster X features the same skipper’s and navigator’s seats as on the larger Buster XL model. At the rear of the boat is a new wide aluminium bench with ample stowage space inside. The fixed door between the consoles effectively protects the cabin from wind and spray, making even longer journeys pleasant. The skipper’s console comes standard with an electrical outlet for powering both USB-charged devices and 12-volt equipment.

The handling properties of the new Buster X are consistent and calm, making it pleasant to operate in all conditions. Sturdy bow railings that are arched inwards make it easy to board the boat from piers, while at the stern there are level anti-slip platforms on either side of the outboard, as well as swin ladders that can be lowered deep into the water.

The rainwater draining cockpit makes it easy to keep the boat tied up to the pier. Security is enhanced by the standard remote-operated Yamaha Y-COP immobiliser system, which prevents unauthorised use of the boat, as well as a bolt lock on all factory-fitted boat-outboard packages that prevents the outboard from being removed.

The standard colour along the upper edge of the new Buster X is Grey Blue Satin Metallic. The stylish appearance is further enhanced by black windshield frames and an optional black canopy.

Recommended outboard: the light and powerful Yamaha F70

To power the new Buster X, Buster recommends the lightest and most powerful four-stroke outboard in its class, the Yamaha F70. Electronic fuel injection and automatic enrichment provide reliable performance and make the motor easy to start in all conditions. The Yamaha F70 also features Shallow Water Drive for cruising close inshore.

The top speed of the new Buster X with two persons is more than 30 knots. At cruising speeds, the Buster X is extremely fuel efficient, consuming around half a litre of fuel per nautical mile. With its fixed 100-litre fuel tank, the boat has enough fuel for more than eight hours of cruising at a time.

Optional equipment includes Bennett trim tabs with joystick control, a canopy and a harbour cover. Small seat-stowage boxes can be specified in front of the consoles, as well as a long rod box along the left side of the cockpit.

The new 2021 Buster X is available from Buster dealers from September 2020.
